Dr. Ricky Brooks was born in Richmond, Va. He received a BA in Biology from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. He attended the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and received his MD in 1982. He completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology from the Medical College of Virginia in 1987.

Dr. Lisa Parker graduated from University of Cincinnati
College of Medicine in 1992. She has been a practicing
Pediatrician for 25 years. Dr. Parker enjoys taking care of
babies, children and teens of all ages. Helping families to
support their children to grow up healthy and successful in
all areas is her ultimate goal.

Kareen M. Binion-Brown, PA
Physician Assistant

Kareen M. Binion-Brown is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and has been employed at Bertie County Rural Health for over two decades. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree as a Physician Assistant in 1986. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta. In 2002, Mrs. Binion-Brown received her Master's Degree in Physician Studies from the University of Nebraska, Omaha.

Mr. Tim Umphlett is a resident of Greenville, NC. Â He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from East Carolina University in 2001. Mr. Umphlett graduated in 2019 with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University. He earned his FNP certification with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2020. Mr. Umphlett is happily married with four children.
